GOOD WORKS, VIRTUE, SIN, VICE

Hitherto the will of God (the commandments) has been the subject treated of. In the following pages we shall speak of the fulfillment of the divine will and the transgression thereof. Good works are the result of the accomplishment of the divine will; sin is the result of the violation of it. By the repeated performance of good works the habit of virtue is formed; by repeated acts of sin, the habit of vice.
